Vito N. Martino died in his home on September 24th. 2020 in Westchester, IL at the age of 81.
Vito is survived by his wife, Judith née Sabella, his children Marie Martino (Jaime Zurheide) and Frank (Thanaphat) Martino, and his granddaughter Violet Martino.
Vito was born on December 4, 1938 in Chicago, IL to Frank and Vita Martino. He married Judith in 1972. After moving to Westchester, IL, Vito and Judith started their family and welcomed two children into their home. Vito’s wife and children remember him as an extraordinarily devoted husband and father who always put his family first.
Vito was an accomplished interior designer and talented photographer who often captured the beauty of the natural world. He was a gentle, fun-loving, hard-working, and creative individual who loved his Italian culture and heritage and who was passionate about sharing that joy with others.
Due to the safety concerns surrounding the current public health emergency, all services are restricted to the immediate family. This was an extremely difficult decision for the Martino family to make, but they are planning a memorial to celebrate Vito’s life some time in the future, when it is safe for groups of people to safely gather once again.
