Verner K. Sorensen, Danish Armed Forces Veteran, passed away peacefully, on July 8, 2026, at the golden age of 93. Devoted Father of Christian V. and his wife, Marie, Sorensen. Loving Son of the late Jes & the late Maren Sorensen. Fond Grandfather of Lucas & James. Dear Brother of the late Peder, his wife, the late Beata, Sorensen, the late Karl Johan, his wife, the late Sonja, Sorensen, and the late Svend, and his wife, Ingrid, Sorensen. Dear Uncle of Astrid, Kim, Jette, Mogens and Vinnie.

Verner was a proud member of Carpenter's Union Local 54.

Family and Friends are to gather for the visitation on Sunday, July 19, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Russo’s Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, Illinois 60162 (Located between Mannheim & Wolf Road). Funeral to follow on Monday, July 20, 2026, at Russo’s Hillside Chapels. Chapel Service to be celebrated promptly at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Mt. Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst.
