Soledad Munoz

Soledad Munoz nee Diaz passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 7th, 2026, while surrounded by her adored family at the age of 74.  She was the beloved wife of Juan for a loving 52 years. Devoted mother of Jose Efrain (Eulalia), Johnny, and Lizette (Sean Fitzgerald).  Loving daughter of the late Jose and the late Martina nee Corral, Diaz.  Fond grandmother of Clarissa, Juan, Magdalen “Maggie”, and Martin.  Dear sister of Agripina (the late Leopoldo) Chaidez, Ana Chavez, Leticia (Arnoldo) Favela, the late Adela (the late Encarnacion) Bueno, the late Bartolo (the late Hermila) Diaz, the late Fidelina Diaz, the late Maria de Jesus Diaz, the late Ramon Diaz, and the late Abrahan Diaz. Dear aunt, great aunt and great-great Aunt to many.  Soledad would love to be remembered for her motherlike love she shared with all the special dogs in her life.

Family and friends are to gather for the visitation on Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 3:00pm to 8:00pm at Russo’s Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside Illinois 60162 (Located between Mannheim and Wolf Road).  A special words of remembrance service will be celebrated by her family promptly at 6:00pm.  Funeral to follow on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Russo’s Hillside Chapels for a brief visitation from 9:30am to 10:30am immediately followed by a chapel service celebrated promptly at 10:30am.  Interment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, Illinois.
