Shannon Paul Smith, U. S. Army Veteran & Retired Chicago Police Officer, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 7, 2025 at the age of 60. Loving Son of the late Josephine, nee Tapia, Smith and Willie B. Smith, Sr. Dear Brother of Crystal D. Shakespeare, Felecia F. (Jeffrey) Wilson, Derrick F. (Karen) Smith, the late Willie B. (the late Denise) Smith, Jr., the late Kenneth A. (Victoria) Smith and the late Michael V. Smith. Loving Nephew to two Aunts (Shirley Haynesworth of Michigan, Joan Morrow of California, and 1 Uncle, Huron (Sonny) Smith of California. Loving Uncle of Shannon P. Smith, Willie B. (Nanette) Smith III, Kevin L. (Audrey) Smith, T’Shanna K. (Vidal) Laventon, Michael D. (Kimberly) Shakespeare, Kenneth A. Smith, Angelique D. (Darrie) Williams, Josef C. D. Shakespeare, Derrick F. Smith, Jr., Timothy D. Shakespeare, Jeffrey M. Wilson, Phillip R. (fiancée Naomi Nixon) Wilson and Sirah L. Smith. Shannon has a host of loving Cousins and Friends especially remembering his late friends Anthony Shelby and Johnnie Sherrod. Shannon was proud to have served alongside with Chicago Police Officers: Kenneth & Tim.

Family and Friends are to gather for the Memorial Visitation on Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Russo’s Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, Illinois 60162 (Located between Mannheim & Wolf Road).
