Salvatore "Sam" Greco

Salvatore “Sam” Greco, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at the age of 89. As the owner of Greco’s Pastry Shop for 37 years he brought his love of baking and creating amazing cakes to many, however his greatest accomplishment was being a loving husband to the late Martha Greco. Devoted Father of Thomas Greco, and Rosemary Ballard. Doting Grandfather of James (Maria) Greco, Theresa (Omar) Granciano, Salvatore Greco, Katharina Losacco, and Ronald Ballard. Fond Great-Grandfather of Thomas Greco, Artemis Granciano, Kal-El Granciano, Dominico Greco, and Michael Greco. Sam was kind, loving, and generous to anyone who met him, and he will be truly missed. His legacy and memory will live on in every life he touched.

Family and friends are to gather for the visitation, Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Russo’s Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, IL 60162 (Located between Mannheim and Wolf Road). Chapel Service of Christian Burial to be celebrated promptly at 11:30 a.m. Interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside. For additional information call (708) 449-5300.
