Rufina Nevarez passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late Ezequiel Nevarez. Devoted mother of Daniel (Carmen) Nevarez, Belen (Javier) Chaidez, Elia (the late Miguel) Cazares. Loving daughter of the late Jose Corral and the late Margarita Montenegro. Fond grandmother of Daniel Nevarez Jr, the late David Nevarez, Ezequiel Nevarez, Julian Nevarez, Rubi (Chris) Pulido, Javier Chaidez Jr, Elida (Ruben) Herrera, Margarita (Eric) Chagolla, Lorena (Edwynel) Abarra. Great-grandmother of Nathaniel, Noah, Jessica, Ariana, Yvette, Cynthia, Daisy, Miguel, Eric Joseph Agape, Kailyn, Elena, and Diesel. Great-great grandmother of Camden and Penelope.

Family and friends are to gather for the visitation on Sunday June 14th, 2026, from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Russo’s Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, IL 60162 (Located between Mannheim and Wolf Road). Funeral to follow Monday June 15, 2026, from Russo’s Hillside Chapels. Proceeding to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1637 N 37th Avenue, Melrose Park, IL 60160.
