Ronald L. DeRose, U.S. Marine Corp. / Vietnam War Veteran, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 13, 2024 at the age of 77. Loving Son of the late Louis DeRose and the late Eleanor, nee Madziej, DeRose. Dear Brother of Janet Salihar, Louis (Lynn) DeRose, Joseph (Pauline) DeRose, Richard DeRose and the late Jerome DeRose. Dear Uncle of Beverly, John and Robert.
Ronald served as a Chief of Illinois Police Reserve and as a Deacon for the Archdioceses of Chicago for over 30 years at Assumption Parish in Chicago. He then went on to be a Chaplain through Cook County Jail at Kolbe House.
Family and Friends are to gather for the Visitation Sunday, October 20, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Russo’s Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, Illinois 60162 (Located between Mannheim and Wolf Road). Funeral to follow Monday, October 21, 2024, from Russo’s Hillside Chapels at 8:30 a.m. Proceeding to Christ the King Catholic Church, 1501 S Main St, Lombard, IL 60148.
