Robert M. Wawrzyniak

Robert ("Bob") passed away Saturday at the age of 68 after a short fight with pancreatic cancer.  Bob was a hard working, dedicated man who spent his years caring for others. He was a devoted husband to Sue for 41 years and together raised two daughters. His support for his family led him to coach many sports teams, attend all his daughters' activities and was always present as a loving father. He loved his 5 grandkids and enjoyed spoiling them with cookies and encouraging them at every chance. He was an outstanding employee for 41 years at Turano Bakery, fulfilling his duties as “The Breadman” until the very last day he was able to work. Recently he retired, only to return a day later given his love for the job. Bob enjoyed the simple things in life- walking his dogs, baseball, building birdhouses, and spending time with his family. He was well loved by many and will be missed by all.

Beloved husband of Sue Wawrzyniak, nee Mantucca, for a loving 41 years. Devoted father of Jennifer (Dave) Ratliff, Jessica (Anthony) Petersen. Loving son of Chester and Dorothy Wawrzyniak. Fond grandfather of Calvin, Abigail, Andrew, Zoey and Ben. Dear Brother of Elaine (Jim) Groszek, Lynn Wawrzyniak. Dear uncle and great uncle to many.

 Family and friends are to gather for the visitation Friday, May, 26th, 3:00P.M. – 8:00P.M. at Russo’s Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, IL 60162 (Located Between Mannheim & Wolf Road). Funeral to follow: Saturday, May 27th, 2023 at Russo’s Hillside Chapels starting at 9:00A.M. Chapel service of Christian Burial celebrated promptly at 10:30A.M.
