Robert Rassano Obituary

Robert “Bob” Rassano passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 15, 2026, in the tranquility of his own home while surrounded by his loving family at the age of 82. Beloved Husband of Barbara nee Frontera for a loving 60 years. Devoted Father of Robert (Laura), William and Joseph. Loving Son of the late Lawrence and the late Louise, nee Mangelli, Rassano. Loving Son in Law of the late Andrew and the late Eleanor nee Runga, Frontera. Fond Grandfather of Alexxa, Nicolette (Joseph Piunti), Vincent, Joseph and Isabella. Loving Great-Grand Father of Joseph and Angelo Piunti. Dear Brother of the late William. Dear Brother-in-Law of Judy (Joseph) Livingston. Dear Uncle of Anthony Livingston and Jorie (Matthew) Haraburda. Dear Great Uncle of Willow, C.J., Luca and Jon. Life Long Best Friend of Samuel “Sonny” Stillo and many other lifelong Friends and Co-Workers.

Robert Rassano lived a life defined by discipline, loyalty, and presence; a husband, father, and man who showed his love not through words, but through being there, every single day.

Married to his beloved wife, Barbara, for 60 years, he built a life grounded in loyalty, discipline, and quiet strength. He worked hard every day, came home every night, and sat down to dinner with his family (at 5:00 PM) without exception. He never strayed from his values, or from the people who depended on him. As a father he was constant and present. He attended every sporting event, celebrated every milestone, and never allowed distance to lessen his involvement. When his sons left for college, he made the drive nearly every weekend, refusing to let absence replace connection. Being there was not something he spoke about; it was simply how he lived.

Before responsibility defined his days, he was an exceptional athlete. As a young man, he was a standout track star and an electrifying football player. A halfback by position, he earned the nickname “Razzle Dazzle Rassano” and was offered a scholarship to play college football in Wisconsin, which was early proof of the discipline and drive that would define his life.

His greatest joys in later years were his grandchildren, who brought laughter into his home and a lightness into his life that only they could. He took the same care and presence with them that he had always given to his own children. And Robert was ever more blessed to have two twin great grandsons, Angelo and Joseph.

Above all else, he was steady. Reliable. Present. His legacy is not found in titles or accolades, but in the certainty his family felt knowing he would always be there; because he always was.
