Rita M. Magner, nee Mitisek, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, December 20, 2024 at the golden age of 95. Beloved Wife for a loving 61 years to William D. Magner. Devoted Mother of Stephen (Susan) Magner, Lawrence (Angelica) Magner, Maurita (John) Mondanaro and Donal (Denise) Magner. Loving Daughter of the late Frank and the late Mary, nee Campbell, Magner. Fond Grandmother of Emma, Tessa, Anna, Kierra, Owen, Adrian and Lorcan. Dear Brother of the late William Mitisek. Fond Sister-in-law of Rosemary (the late James) Kurtz. Dear Aunt of Jennifer (Tom) Crooks, Donna (Paul) and Tamara Kurtz. Rita and William were devout parishioners of St. Mary of Celle Church in Berwyn. Rita and William met many years ago at the St. Peter’s Club in Chicago.

Family and Friends are to gather for the Visitation on Sunday, December 29, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Russo’s Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, Illinois 60162 (Located between Mannheim & Wolf Road). Funeral to follow on Monday, December 30, 2024 from Russo’s Hillside Chapels at 9:00 a.m. Proceeding to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 124 N. Spring Avenue, LaGrange, Illinois 60525. Interment will remain private.
