Raymond J. Janek passed away peacefully on Wednesday April 1, 2026, while surrounded by his loving family at the golden age of 84. Beloved Husband of the late Christine M. nee DeMaio for a loving 52 years. Devoted Father of Maria (Arthur) Peluso and Christina (Joe) Scoleri. Fond Stepfather of Denise (John) Adams. Loving Son of the late Joseph and the late Frances nee Fontowicz, Janek. Fond Grandfather of Jennifer, Melissa, John, and Daniella. Dear Great-Grandfather of Scarlett and Mila. Dear Brother of the late Helen, the late Josie, the late Francine, the late Irene and the late Rose. Dear Uncle, Great Uncle, and Great Great Uncle to many.  Raymond was a proud member of the National Elevator Industry for 35 Years.

Family and Friends are to gather for the visitation on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Russo’s Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, IL 60162 (Located between Mannheim and Wolf Road). Funeral to Follow Thursday April 9, 2026, at Russo’s Hillside Chapels for a brief 1-hour visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. immediately followed by a chapel service of Christian Burial celebrated promptly at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL.
