Nancy Bruno nee Colorato passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 18, 2023 while surrounded by her loving family at the golden age of 78. Beloved Wife of the late Gaspare for a loving 57 years. Devoted Mother of Stan, Marco (Cindy), Roberta and Angela (Edward) Aghajan. Loving Daughter of the late Michele & the late Anna nee Lonigro, Colorato. Loving Nona of Sofia, Paul, Mathew and Ava. Dear Sister of Dominick (Claudette) Colorato, the late Rocco (the late Graziella) Colorato, the late Sabino (the late Maria) Colorato, the late Rosa (the late Dominick) Zeno. Dear Aunt, Great Aunt & Great Great Aunt to many.
She will always be remembered as a force who led with her heart. She loved her family fiercely and always put herself last. No one ever went hungry in her presence. She was a fixture in her kitchen and will be remembered as a great cook. Her grandchildren will never forget her chicken cutlets, her pasta, and her lemon cookies. There was always more than enough food and room at the table for unexpected guests. In addition to her cooking skills, her talent for sewing was exceptional. Many were fortunate enough to have had her one-of-a-kind creations or Halloween costumes. She loved to bargain shop with her lifelong friends but rarely purchased anything for herself. She loved to buy things for her family. She was a “take charge” woman who made sure everyone was well cared for and she never hesitated to help family and friends. Her family is comforted in knowing that she is with our Heavenly Father able to remember once again and preparing a meal fit for kings. She is reunited with her husband, taking care of him, and causing mischief with her sister.
