Nadie Raya

Nadie Raya nee Murillo, 98, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 1, 2025. Beloved wife of Albert Raya for a loving 41 years. Devoted Mother of Carol Cantu, Benny (Susan) Raya, Charlotte (Pete) Mador, and The Late Steve Raya. Loving Daughter of Esteban Murillo and Perfidia Hernedez. Fond Grandmother of Danny (Jonette), Danita (Del), Collen (Sebastian), James (Rebecca), Joseph (Edrina), Christopher (Debra), Shawn (Ann), Samantha, Nikki (Michael), Charlotte (Tony Garcia), Anntionette (John) Sosa, and Tony Mendez. Dear Great Grandmother of Vincent Mendez and a host of other great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Dear Sister of Connie, Josie, Jessie, Lalo, Raymond, and Charlie. Dear Aunt of a host of many.  Nadie will be dearly missed.

Family and Friends are to gather for the Visitation on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Russo’s Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, IL 60162 (located between Mannheim and Wolf Road). Funeral to follow: All family and friends are to meet directly at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, located at 813 W Roosevelt Rd, Chicago, IL 60608, on Saturday, September 6, 2025 for Mass of Christian Burial celebrated promptly at 10:00 AM.
