Merced Alvarado passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at the age of 56. Beloved Wife for a loving 38 years to Gulibaldo Carrera. Devoted Mother of Nalley (Hector) Carrera, Erlyn Carrera and Itzara Carrera. Loving Daughter of Jose & Fidencia Alvarado. Fond Grandmother of Hector Xavier & Lorenzo Raul. Dear Sister of Maria Christina Alvarado, Maria Santos Carrera, Maria Guadalupe Alvarado, Maria Francisca Alvarado and Rosa Irene Alvarado. Dear Aunt of many Nieces & Nephews.

Family and Friends are to gather for the Visitation on Friday, April 3, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Russo’s Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, Illinois 60162 (Located between Mannheim & Wolf Road). Funeral to follow on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Russo’s Hillside Chapels. Chapel Service to be celebrated promptly at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
