Mary Ellen Jelic, nee Spizzirri, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 3, 2024 while surrounded by her loving family at the age of 64. Beloved Wife of Sam for a loving 26 years. Devoted Stepmother of Tina Jelic, Jeaney Jelic and James Jelic. Loving Daughter of the late Sam and the late Eda, nee Scola, Spizzirri. Fond Step grandmother of Sammy, Anthony and Gabriella. Dear Sister of Carmie (John) Traverso, the late Patty (the late Billy) Schad and the late Anthony Spizzirri. Dear Aunt and Great Aunt to many. Loving Cousin to many. Dear Friend to all. Most of all world's greatest animal lover.

Family and Friends are to gather for the Visitation on Sunday, October 13, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Russo’s Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, Illinois 60162 (Located between Mannheim & Wolf Road. Funeral to follow on Monday, October 14, 2024 at Russo’s Hillside Chapels for a short visitation from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. A Chapel Service of Christian Burial and Special Words of Remembrance will be celebrated promptly at 10:30 A.M. Interment will remain private for family only.
