Mary L. Cairo, nee Gurrieri passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at the golden age of 99. Beloved Wife of the late Anthony N. Cairo. Devoted Mother of Anthony (Pamela) Cairo, Robert Cairo and the late Camille (the late Larry) Fumarolo. Loving Daughter of the late Angelo and the late Lucy Gurrieri. Fond Grandmother of Larry (Nicole) Fumarolo, Deanna (Rick) Stern, Anthony (Jenny) Fumarolo, Anthony M. Cairo, Michael F. (Andrea) Cairo and Amanda (Bryan) Jones. Fond Great-Grandmother of 19. Dear Sister of the late Sam (Teena) Gurrieri. Dear Aunt of many Nieces and Nephews.
Mary was a member of several Playing Card Clubs and was an avid Bowler and loved to play Video Poker.
Family and Friends are to gather for the Visitation on Sunday, April 14, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Russo’s Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, Illinois 60162 (Located between Mannheim and Wolf Road). Funeral to follow on Monday, April 15, 2024 from Russo’s Hillside Chapels at 9:00 a.m. proceeding to St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, 5005 Wolf Road, Western Springs, Illinois. Mass of Christian Burial celebrated promptly at 11:00 a.m. Entombment at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery/ Queen of Heaven Mausoleum/St. Agnes Shrine. For additional information call (708) 449-5300.
