Marilyn Jean Weyburn, nee Koch, passed away unexpectedly, on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at the age of 79. Beloved Wife of the late Thomas D. Weyburn, Sr. Devoted Mother of Patricia “Patty” (Lorenz Denner) Conliss and Dr. Thomas D. Weyburn, Jr. Loving Daughter of the late Eugene and the late Mary Koch. Beloved Nana of Isabella Rose “Bella” Weyburn, Ava Grace “Ava” Weyburn, and Cooper Thomas Conliss. Dear Sister of the late Donald Eugene (Barbara) Koch, Sr. Dear Sister- in-Law of the late Ralph B Weyburn III (Susan) and Marybeth (Todd) Friske. Dear Aunt of Jeanne (George) Kordik, Donald (Christine) Koch, Jr., Linda (Paul) Ressinger, David (Donna) Koch, Mollie Weyburn, Christopher (Magnolia) Weyburn, Kelly Parker (Dan) and Dana Friske, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Loving Friend of Aunt Anna (Larry) Scharf, and the late Fran (Steve) Orlandino and Dear Friend Shirley Callis. Devoted Parishioner of Christ the King Catholic Church in Lombard, Illinois.
Marilyn was born and raised in Melrose Park, Illinois along with her beloved brother Don. Upon graduation from Proviso East high school, she started a job at American Electric where she met the love of her life and eventual husband, Thomas D Weyburn Sr.
They wed on November 19, 1966, at Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Melrose Park.
Both children Patty and Tommy were born in Melrose Park prior to relocating to Oak Park and eventually to Lombard in January 1979 where they were raised.
She began working at Blunt, Ellis and Loewi in 1981, eventually becoming operations manager and retiring from what was then Wells Fargo in 2012.
She lived selflessly for everyone her life, family, friends but especially for her beloved children and grandchildren, whom were her entire life and heart. She placed the utmost emphasis on the well-being of her family and friends above all else.
She humbly devoted her time, not only to her family, but also to her many friends.
Mom loved to cook so you could often find her in the kitchen. There would always be an empty place setting, or two, at the table for a neighbor, or one of her children’s friends who just happened to stop by. Like many Italian moms she would show her love through one’s stomach, and always made sure there was a warm bed for someone to sleep in.
She was the most kind and gentle soul yet smart, witty and very intuitive. Mom was the calming presence in our household.

Family and Friends are to gather for the Visitation on Sunday, December 15, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Russo’s Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, Illinois 60162 (located between Mannheim and Wolf Road). Funeral to follow Monday, December 16, 2024 from Russo’s Hillside Chapels at 9:00 am proceeding to Christ the King Catholic Church, 1501 S. Main Street, Lombard, Illinois, 60148. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated promptly at 10:00 am. Interment at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Hillside, Illinois. For additional information please call (708) 449-5300.
