Luz D. Lucy Sotomayor - Mercado passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on May 17, 2025. Beloved Wife of Ted Sotomayor for a loving 48 years, Devoted Mother of Nathan (Katelyn) Sotomayor and Rachel (Terence) Young, Cherished Fur Mom of Zoe, Fond ‘Buela of Xavier, Cherished Fur ‘Buela of Sammy.

Family and Friends are to gather for the visitation on Friday May 23, 2025 from 3:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. a Religious service and Words of remembrance ceremony will be celebrated promptly at 6:00 P.M. At Russo’s Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road Hillside, IL 60162 (located between Mannheim and Wolf Road). Funeral to follow Saturday May 24, 2025 at Russo’s Hillside Chapels at 9:30 A.M.
