Linda Marie Jackson

Linda Marie Jackson, 73 passed away peacefully in her sleep after a long illness.  Linda Was born on June 21, 1948 in Salisbury, Missouri, the daughter of Roy Lee Jackson and Zola (Dameron) Jackson.

Linda started her education in Salisbury attending Lincoln School until her parents relocated to Chicago, Illinois. Linda attended and graduated from Grant Elementary School and attended and graduated John Marshall High School. Linda was employed with Teletype Corp., Bankers Life Insurance and The Hanover Insurance Company (30 years). After leaving Hanover, Linda became a co-caregiver to our mom that we moved back after she fell ill. Linda took care of mom until she became ill herself two years ago.

Some of Linda’s hobbies were talking on the phone and watching television (westerns, mysteries and basketball) and listening to music.

Linda is survived by one sister, Marsha Jackson, of Hillside, Illinois and one brother, Jeffrey Jackson of Slater, Missouri, two nephews Jeffrey Jackson, Jr and Jovan Jackson and one niece Fredericka Burks, one uncle Ronald (Chipper) Dameron, two aunts Beverly Dameron & Wilma Dameron. Loving Sister-in-Law to Joyce Jacobs (Glasgow, MO) and Gloria Jackson (Blue Springs, MO) and a host of cousins and friends. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Zola Jackson, infant sister Debra Lee Jackson, brothers Gregory Jacobs, Robert Jackson and James Jackson.

Special thanks to her lifelong friends, acquaintances and loved ones for your thoughts, prayers, phone calls and visits. Every act of kindness was so appreciated.

Family and friends are to gather for the visitation on Friday, July 23, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Russo’s Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, Illinois 60162. (Located between Mannheim and Wolf Road). Funeral to follow Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Summerville Funeral Home, 601 East Highway 24, Salisbury, Missouri 65281.
