Kathryn E. Devaris

Kathryn E. Devaris nee Mellios passed away July 21, 2020, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved Wife of Jerry and the late Peter Valavanis. Devoted Mother of John (Christine) Valavanis, Ted (Peggy) Valavanis, and Melanie (Greg) Steward, Nick (Becky) Devaris, Debra Devaris, and Pete Devaris. Loving daughter of the late Gust and late Barbara Mellios. Fond Yiayia of Megan Valavanis, Stephanie (Arthur) Miller, Dan (Beth Ann) Valavanis, Catherine Valavanis, Amy (Matt Bradley) Steward, Nicholas Devaris, Brittany (Kyle) Mullan, Alex Devaris, Kyle Devaris, and the late Greg (Tina) Steward II. Great Yiayia of Justin, Zoe, Sophia, Viviana, Owen, Emilia, Derrick, Jarred, Wilson, Lily, Christy, Jolene, and Leo. Dearest Sister of Betsy (Robert) Doumas, late Alyce (late Joseph) Kedziora, late Lola (late Maurice) Shattuck, late George (Nancy) Mellios. Loving Aunt of many nieces and nephews, and dear Godmother of several.

Kathryn loved cooking and entertaining.  She lived for her family and friends, loving them all dearly!!!

Family and friends are to gather for the visitation Sunday, July 26, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Russo’s Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, IL, 60162 (located between Mannheim and Wolf Road). We require that all guests entering the building wear a facial covering and maintain social distancing.
