Katherine A. “Dolly” Orfei, nee Fanelli, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, August 2, 2024 at the golden age of 96.Beloved Wife for a loving 53 years to the late Dante Orfei.  Devoted Mother of Dante Orfei, Renee (Dennis) Crowley and Perry Orfei. Loving Daughter of the late Joseph and the late Angelina Fanelli. Fond Grandmother Dante Orfei III, Dennis Crowley IV, Anne (Peter) Heidenberger and Daniel Crowley. Dear Sister of the late Francis Fanelli. Dear Aunt of many Nieces & Nephews. Cherished former mother-in-law of Laura (Gregory Keenan) Orfei and Lovingly devoted life-long friend of Elizabeth "Lee" (Frank) Mungo.

Family and Friend are to gather for the Visitation on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Russo’s Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, Illinois 60162 (Located between Mannheim and Wolf Road) Funeral to follow on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 from Russo’s Hillside Chapels at 8:00 a.m. Proceeding to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 134 Arthur Street, Elmhurst, Illinois. Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated promptly at 9:30 a.m. Interment at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Hillside, Illinois.
