Katherine C. Falcone

Katherine C. Falcone (Kay), age 90, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 22, 2026. Beloved wife for 38 years to the late Joseph B. Falcone. Loving mother of Michael (Joanne), Barbara (Frank) Kucera, Robert (Anna Marie), and Joseph (Kathy). Proud grandmother of Jenny, Gina, Robert Jr., Danielle, Brianna, William, Andrew and Ryan. Cherished great grandmother of Grace, Vincent, Dominic, Giada, Francesca Falcone, Ava, Will, Daniella, Nicholas, Luke Petramala, Francesca Giamarusti, Luke Falcone and Luciana. Dear sister of the late Barbara DeSimone and sister in law of the late Rita (late Pete) Solesky. Caring aunt of James (Patricia) Solesky and Catherine (late Ed) Szabo.

Kay, a longtime resident of Elmwood Park, was born on June 20, 1936 to the late Frank and Caroline DeSimone (nee Donatelli). Growing up in Chicago, Kay was an avid Bears and White Sox fan. You could always catch her watching them on TV in her den enjoying something sweet. Kay’s best memories were lining the streets of Diversey Avenue with her family and friends for Elmwood Park’s annual 4th of July Parade.

Kay Raised her family with pride and joy. After her kids were grown, Kay began her career at Triton College in the CO-OP Education Department. She was adored by her co-workers and enjoyed  meeting and helping many students over her 25 years of working there.

Kay was a resident at Amazing Grace Senior Living for the last four years where she formed many friendships and received the very best care. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and lover her.

Family and Friends are to gather for the Visitation, Sunday, June 28, 2026, 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Russo’s Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, Illinois 60162 (Located between Mannheim and Wolf Road). Funeral to follow Monday, June 29, 2026 at Russo’s Hillside Chapels at 9:00 a.m. proceeding to St. Celestine Catholic Church, 3020 North 76th Court, Elmwood Park, Illinois 60707. Mass of Chrisitan Burial celebrated promptly at 10:00 a.m. Interment with Graveside Services at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, Illinois.
