Jovette Basile, nee Zamor, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, June 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 81. Beloved Wife of the late Raymond Basile. Devoted Mother of Claire-Marie Astrid Basile, Barbara (Dennis) Magnus, and Christine Basile. Loving Daughter of the late Luc Zamor and the late Georgette Zamor, nee Jean-Pierre, Fond Grandmother of Natasha Daphney (Mikeal) Ousley, and Gabrielle Magnus. Cherished Great-Grandmother of Nahla-Signe, Mikeal Jr., Nyrobi, and Miila Belle. Dear Sister of Marie-Andre (Douge) Barthelemy, Yola-Jacqueline (Esope) Mompremier, Chanta (Jean-Henri) Ceant, Magda Exceus, proceeded in death by Fritz Schmidt, Luc Zamor Jr., Carlos Volcy, Jaques Volcy, and Pierre Richard Volcy. Dear Aunt and Great-Aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Family and Friends are to gather for the Visitation on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Russo’s Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, Illinois 60162 (Located between Mannheim & Wolf Road). Funeral to follow on Saturday, July 12, 2025, from Russo’s Hillside Chapels at 8:30a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated promptly at 10:00 a.m. at St. Eulalia Catholic Church, 1825 9th S. 9th Avenue, Maywood, IL, 60153.  Interment at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Hillside, Illinois.
