Joseph N. Zaccariello passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Patricia (née Harty) for 54 years, devoted and loving father to Janet (Adam) Heiman and Jill (Joseph) Reda; proud and adoring Papa of Nick, Tyler, and Ava; Cherished son of the late Josephine Dobson (née Serritella); loving brother to the late Peter (Vera) Zaccariello and the late Carm (Sharon) Zaccariello; dear brother-in-law to James Harty and Sandy Harty; treasured uncle, great-uncle, cousin, and friend to so many. A proud member of the Elmwood Park Bocce League, Joe embraced life with a joyful spirit that touched everyone he met.
Joe found joy in bocce, golf, and solving puzzles, but his greatest passion was his family. Whether sharing stories around the table, engaging in spirited games, or simply being present with those he loved, Joe made every moment special. His life was a testament to love, joy, and unwavering devotion, and his legacy will continue to inspire and live on in the hearts of all who shared in his journey.
Family and Friends are to gather for the Visitation on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Russo’s Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, Illinois 60162 (Located between Mannheim and Wolf Road). Proceeding to St. Giles Parish, 1045 Columbian Avenue, Oak Park, IL, for a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated promptly at 12:00 p.m. Entombment at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery / Christ the King Garden Mausoleum, Hillside, Illinois.
