John W. Patton, U.S. Army Veteran, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 7, 2025 at the age of 78. Beloved Husband for a loving 33 years to Rachel, nee McKinnie, Williams-Patton. Devoted Father of Racquel Williams and Ashley Patton. Loving Son of the late John Sellers and the late Mary Frances Patton. Fond Grandfather of Phillip Carter-Amir Williams and Aliyah Thomas. Dear Brother of Phillip Patton, Yvonne Patton, Andre (Stephanie) Patton, Yvette Patton, Yolanda Patton, the late Troy Patton and Aaron (Monique) Patton. Dear Uncle of many Nieces & Nephews.

John was a dedicated Chicago Police Officer for over 35 years and received numerous commendations and accolades for his service. John was also an avid fisherman.

Family and Friends are to gather for the Visitation on Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Russo’s Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, Illinois 60162 (Located between Mannheim & Wolf Road). Funeral to follow on Friday, April 18, 2025, with a Visitation from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Russo’s Hillside Chapels.
