Joana DeSanto

Joana DeSanto, nee Calonico, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 20, 2022, while surrounded by her loving family at the golden age of 92.  Devoted Mother of Jeanne DeSanto (Will Dobek) and Jackie (Rob) Romolo.  Loving Daughter of the late Louis and the late Pasqualina, nee Esposito, Calonico.  Fond Grandmother of Jennifer, Allie and Lindsay Romolo.  Dear Sister of the late Mae (the late Louis) DeLuca, the late Betty (the late Howard) Hansen, the late Anthony Calonico, the late Lucille DiBartolomeo.  Dear Aunt, Great- Aunt and Great-Great Aunt to many.  Joana loved spending time with all her Grand Dogs, and she was an entrusted Social Director for so many of her close loving Friends and Family.

Family and Friends are to gather for the Visitation on Sunday, November 27, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Russo’s Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, Illinois 60162 (Located between Mannheim and Wolf Road). Funeral to follow Monday, November 28, 2022, Family and Friends are asked to gather directly at St. Giles Parish, 1045 Columbian Avenue, Oak Park, Illinois for a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated promptly at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, Illinois.
