JoAnn Catherine Mango nee Matalone passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 20, 2026 while surrounded by her Loving Family at the Golden Age of 82. Beloved Wife of Anthony J. Mango, Sr. for a loving 62 years. Devoted Mother of Maria (Leonard) Abbate, Rosemary (Nick) Portokalis, Nicole (Michael) Riccio and Anthony J. Mango, Jr. Loving Daughter of the late Joseph L. and the late Marie nee Franzone, Matalone. Fond Grandmother of Gianna, Lenny, Adam, Paige, Anthony, Susie and Mikey. Loving Great Grandmother of Angelina, Joseph, Anthony, Mia and Nicholas. Dear Great Great Grandmother of Lucian. Dear Sister of the late Joseph Matalone. Dear Sister in Law to Dominic (Michelle) Mango and the late Michael (Patricia) Mango. Dear Aunt, Great Aunt and Great Great Aunt to many.

Family and Friends are to gather for the Visitation Wednesday, August 26, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Russo’s Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, Illinois 60162 (Located between Mannheim and Wolf Road). Funeral to follow Thursday, August 27, 2026 at Russo’s Hillside Chapels guest are to arrive at 9:30 a.m. for a Visitation until the time of a Chapel Service of Christian Burial celebrated promptly at 11:00 a.m. Interment to immediately follow at Mt.
