Cortez, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, April 9, 2023 at the golden ag of 93.  Beloved Husband of the late Maria nee Arguello, Cortez.  Devoted Father of Lidia (Ismael) Toledo, Jose (Rosalina) Cortez, Eduardo (Kelly) Cortez, Jesse (Rosa) Cortez, Maribel (Martin) Estrada and Gerardo (Guadalupe) Cortez.  Loving Son of the late Roman & the late Martina Cortez.  Fond Grandfather of Ismael (Glenda) Toledo, Erik (Karina) Toledo, Judy (Kirk) Eichenberg, Michael Toledo; David (Maria) Cortez, Jose (Morgan Danuk) Cortez, Eric (Claudia) Cortez, Robert (Caron) Cortez, Carlos (Caylee) Cortez, Sophia (Timothy) Henning, Christina (Jose) Montesino, Clarissa Cortez, Jesse Cortez, Mateo Cortez, Giana Cortez, Andrew Estrada and Mia Estrada. Loving Great-Grandfather of Vanessa (Richard) Browne, Alessandra, Elijah, Aiyana, Adaleah, Kahlia, Isabella, Josslyn, Jacob, Demetrius, Elvie, Liam, Brady and David Jr.  Loving Great-Great Grandfather of Enzo Browne. Dear Brother of the late Elias (Rita) Cortez, the late Inocencia (Marcelino) Negrete, Carmen (Jose) Salasar, Aurelia (Manuel) Garcia, the late Adolfo (Socorro) Cortez, Eustacio (Alicia) Cortez, Elpidio (Consuelo) Cortez, the late Jose (Consuelo) Cortez, Ester (Baltasar) Guillen and Ramon (Maria) Cortez.  Dear Uncle of many Nieces & Nephews. 

Family and Friends are to gather for the Visitation on Sunday, April 16, 2023 from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Russo’s Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, Illinois 60162 (Located between Mannheim and Wolf Road).  Funeral to follow on Monday, April 17, 2023 from Russo’s Hillside Chapels at 9:00 A.M. Proceeding to St. Domitilla Catholic Church, 4940 Washington Street, Hillside, Illinois.  Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated promptly at 10:00 A.M.  Interment at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Hillside, Illinois.
