Jesse P. Jacobs, age 83, Retired Sergeant with the Chicago Police Department passed away on September 15, 2025.
Jesse was the Beloved Husband of the late Denise Jacobs (nee Granucci) for a loving 60 years. Devoted Father of Daniel (Donna) Jacobs and Dina (Carlos) Chacon. Loving Grandfather of Vanessa, Danny, Vincent, and Lia. Loving Son of the late Sally Poderino. Dear Brother of Antone Jacobs and Sally (Matthew) Regan. Cherished Brother-in-law of Marlene (the late Joe) Kish. Fond Uncle of Jack and Natalie Regan, Nick Jacobs, Denise and Andrea Serpico. Loving cousin and dear friend to many.
Jesse was the epitome of a gentleman. Those who knew him knew he had pride in his appearance from the clothes on his back to the car he drove. Jesse knew he was blessed to have the loyal friendship of childhood friends, fellow Taylor St. Dukes, Barber Shop buddies, and his CPD family. He was especially proud of his family and loved being a Papa to his grandchildren.
He was a proud soldier of the United States Marine Corps and a consummate professional who dedicated 35 years to the CPD.
He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
Family and Friends are to gather for the Visitation on Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Russo’s Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, Illinois 60162 (Located between Mannheim and Wolf Road). St. Jude prayer to be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral to follow on Monday, September 22, 2025, from Russo’s Hillside Chapels at 8:30 a.m. Proceeding to St. Domitilla Church,4940 Washington St, Hillside, IL 60162.
