James E. Kronkow passed away surrounded by his loving family Thursday, June 18, 2020. Beloved Husband of the late Florence Kronkow nee Zick. Dear Companion of Joan. Devoted Father of James E. Kronkow Jr. (Louise), Katherine (Sissy) (Larry) Kieft, RoseMary (Greg) Salomon, Matthew (Mary) Kronkow, the late Gerald Kronkow the late Herman Kronkow and the late Michael (Kathy Litz) Kronkow. Fond Grandfather of Samantha, Sydney (Grant), Katie, Mark, Josh(Jennifer), Amy, Julia, Zachery, Sara, Sydney, Cody, Christopher and the late Robert. Beloved Great Grandfather of Amelia and Baby G. Dear Brother of the late Harriet Kamin (Buddy). Family and Friends are to gather for the Visitation Monday, June 22, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Russo's Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, Illinois 60162 (Located between Mannheim and Wolf Road). We require that all guests entering the building wear a facial covering and maintain social distancing. Funeral Services for James remain private for just the immediate family. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Elmhurst YMCA Scholarship Fund, as Jim was a longtime member of this YMCA. Contributions will go towards providing financial assistance to adults and children within the community to participate in activities and programs at the YMCA.
