Hermila Cabrera, nee Salgado, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 17, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved Wife of Emigdio for a loving 38 years. Devoted Mother of Ruben (Amanda) Valenzuela, Delia (Ivan Guzman) Valenzuela, and Irene (Adan) Torres. Loving Daughter of the late Ireneo and the late Atanacia, nee Garcia, Salgado. Fond Grandmother of Isabella R. Valenzuela, Christian A. Torres, Tatiana N. Valenzuela, Thalia E. Valenzuela, Nathaniel I. Guzman, Olivia I. Guzman, Ava B. Valenzuela, Violet A. Torres, Benjamin E. Torres, and Julian R. Valenzuela. Dear Sister of the late Lucio Salgado, Vicenta Gallegos, the late Juan Salgado, Pilar Salgado, Lorenza Salgado, the late Polo Salgado, Santiago Salgado, and Angel Isaac Salgado. Second Mother to Victor Aguilar, Angel Aguilar, Maria Aguilar, and Yasmin Aguilar. Beloved Aunt and Great-Aunt of many.
Family and Friends are to gather for the Visitation on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 from 3:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at Russo’s Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, Illinois 60162 (Located between Mannheim & Wolf Road). Funeral to follow on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 from Russo’s Hillside Chapels at 10:00 A.M. Proceeding to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 1101 N. 23rd Avenue, Melrose Park.
