Guy Belmonte

Guido “Guy” Belmonte passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, Friday, April 12, 2024, at the age of 74. Beloved Husband of Cathy, nee D’Ambrosio, for a loving 53 years. Devoted Father of Sherri and Jamie (Brad) Vayda. Loving Son of the late Guido Sr. and the late Marge. Fond Grandfather of Emily Ana and Nicholas James. Dear Brother-in-law of Cindy (the late Andy) Montano. Dear Uncle of Ofc. Jimmy Montano C.P.D. and Anthony (the late Carla) Montano. Loving Cousin and Honorary Uncle to many.

Guy worked for 32 years at the University of Illinois at Chicago in the purchasing division. Guy was a devoted community member of the Village of North Riverside. He was first elected Village Trustee in 1989 and served for 12 years before being appointed Village Treasurer and then Village Administrator in 2001 where he worked in this capacity until he retired in 2020. Guy loved North Riverside and Mater Christi Church. He was an active member of the parish and a dedicated member of the Holy Name Society.

Family and friends are to gather for the Visitation on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Russo’s Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, IL 60162 (Located Between Mannheim and Wolf Road). Funeral to follow Thursday, April 18, 2024 from Russo’s Hillside Chapels at 9:00 A.M. Proceeding to Mater Christi Church, 2401 S. 10th Avenue, North Riverside, IL​.
