Geraldine “Gerry” Pedersen, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at the golden age of 83. Beloved Wife of the late Thomas M. Pedersen. Devoted Mother of Michael (Karlana) Pedersen, Christopher (Christine) Pedersen, James (Marina) Pedersen, Catherine Kozak, Amy (Randy) DeGuzman and Sharon (Kenny) Lennstrom. Loving Daughter of the late Ann K. & the late Fred Berg. Passionate Grandmother of Kailyn, Christian, Sean, Jackson, Nicholas, Nicolette, Thomas, Connor, Quin, Olivia, Ella, Nicholas and Danielle (Brett). Fond Great-Grandmother of Milaina. Dear Sister of Ellie (Chuck) Helmbolt, Patricia (Casey) Halinski, the late Joni (Frank) Gonsowski and the late Vera (the late Bob) Lauer. Dear Aunt of many Nieces & Nephews. Loving Best Friend of Marilynn Hillary.

Gerry devoted more than 34 years as a registered nurse in the obstetrics department at Elmhurst Hospital. Her commitment to her profession was evident in the compassionate care she provided to countless patients over the decades.

Gerry's nurturing spirit extended beyond her work environment. She took particular dedication and joy in caring for her husband, Thomas, her twin-sister, Joni as well as other family members. Throughout her life, Gerry consistently placed the needs of others before her own, exemplifying selflessness and dedication in all that she did.

Family and Friends are to gather for the Visitation on Friday, October 31, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Russo’s Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, Illinois 60162 (Located between Mannheim & Wolf Road.) A special presentation by the Northeastern Illinois Nurse Honor Guard at 6:00 p.m.

Funeral to follow on Saturday, November 1, 2025 from Russo’s Hillside Chapels at 8:30 a.m. Proceeding to St. Domitilla Catholic Church, 4940 Washington Street, Hillside, Illinois. Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated promptly at 10:00 a.m. Interment will remain private. For additional information, please call (708) 449-5300.
