Gerald L. Johnson passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at the golden age of 88. Beloved Husband for a loving 40 years to Rosemary nee Nastali, Wachholz Johnson. Devoted father of Garner Johnson, Bradley (Eileen) Johnson, Leonard (Michelle) Wachholz and Judith (Thomas) Kratville. Loving Son of the late Lee & the late Ella Johnson. Fond Grandfather of Hayden Johnson, Mason Johnson, Jessica (Bill) Lanzarotta, Rebecca (Michael Rigitano) Wachholz, Amanda (Jim Murphy) Wachholz, Alex Kratville and Elizabeth (Sean) Kennelly. Fond Great-Grandfather of Charlotte, Benjamin and Lucca.

Family and Friends are to gather for the Visitation on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Russo’s Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, Illinois 60162 (Located between Mannheim & Wolf Road). Funeral to follow on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Russo’s Hillside Chapels. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A Chapel Service to be celebrated promptly at 11:00 a.m. Interment at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, River Grove, Illinois.
