Eugenio Corona Villa, golden age of 87 of South Haven, MI, formerly of Chicago, IL departed this life on January 26, 2025 with his family by his side.
"My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion forever." Psalms 76:23
Eugenio Corona Villa was born November 15, 1937, to the union of the late Trinidad Corona and the late Herminia Villa Corona in Zapote Bandolo, Michoacán, Mexico. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age, and attended the St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church in Chicago, IL and the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hartford, MI.
Eugenio Corona and Florentina Hernandez met in Michoacán, Mexico and were married. Through this union of more than 50 years, 10 beautiful children were born: Fermin, Magdalena, Trinidad, Guadalupe, Jose, Patricia, Jesus, Alejandro, Felipe, and Angel.
Eugenio loved to spend time with his wife outdoors raising chickens, goats, gardening, and hunting with his sons. Eugenio loved being surrounded by family and friends while enjoying laughter, conversation, music, and good food.
Eugenio wore many hats, he worked at Appleton as a machinist and at Gold Wings as a delivery courier in Chicago, IL. He also worked as a machinist for many years at Miracle wire in the Southwest, MI area, where he retired after many years. He took pride in dedicating himself to a strong work ethic, driven by the desire to be a great provider for his family. Eugenio will truly be missed!

Precious memories of his life will forever live in the heart of his wife, Florentina Corona, his children: Trinidad (Wendy) Corona, Guadalupe Corona, Jose Corona, Patricia Corona (Tomas Correa), Jesus (Katrina) Corona, Alejandro (Jocelynn) Corona, Felipe (Latrisha) Corona, Angel (Tina) Corona; his siblings: Consuelo (Manuel) Sanchez, Enedina (Guadalupe) Alvarez, Estela Duran, Juana Alcauter, Jose Corona; his grandchildren: Fermin Corona, Jr., Sylvia (Jose Luis) Enriquez, Marisol (Jerry) Fuentes, Diana (Jonathon) Romero, Ignacio Jr. (Sandy) Ibarra, Gloria (Arturo) Gallegos, Marcos (Ariel) Ibarra, Monica (Moataz) Marmoush, Jakob Corona, Jayden Corona, Atziri Corona, Wendy Corona, Anika Corona, Kaleb Corona, Olivia Corona, Joseph Corona, Cassandra Corona, Andrew Corona, Alejandro Corona, Julytza Corona, Rikko Corona, Izaiah Corona, Rosalie Corona, Elijah Corona, Marissa Corona, Angelina Corona, Angelica Corona, Jasmyn Corona and Juliana Perez. Great-Grandchildren: Layla Marie Corona, Mia Emily Corona, Leo Antonio Corona, Juda Paul Corona, Julian Enriquez, Sophia Enriquez, Justin Enriquez, Sebastian Fuentes, Jerry Fuentes, Nicolas Navarro, Eli Romeo, Eden Romeo, Noah Ibarra, Amelia Ibarra, Anabella Gallegos, Alicia Gallegos, Maeve Ibarra, Magdalena Ibarra, Miles Marmoush, Magic Marmoush, Mila Marmoush, Wrigley Corona, Jacklyn Corona, Corrah Bahamundi, Mya Corona, Samuel Alcantar and Jade Corona Vazquez, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Eugenio was preceded in death by his parents,Trinidad Corona and Herminia Villa Corona, son Fermin Corona Sr., daughter Magdalena Ibarra, grandson Felipe Corona Jr; siblings: Ascencion Corona, Ramon Corona, Esperanza Alcauter, Maria Corona, Jose Corona.
Family and Friends are to gather for a Lying-in-State / Visitation on Friday, February 7, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; and the Mass celebrated promptly at 12:00pm at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, 1351 W. Evergreen Avenue, Chicago, Illinois. Interment at Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery, Hillside, Illinois. For additional information please call (708) 449-5300.
