Esther Cirolia Obituary

Esther Cirolia nee Bartucci passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 14, 2020 while in the tranquility of her own home surrounded with her loving family by her side at the golden age of 81. Beloved Wife of Vincenzo for a loving 53 years. Devoted Mother of Teresa (Robert) Spano, Michael (Cori), Antonietta and Vincenzo Jr. Loving Daughter of the late Joseph and the late Aquila nee Capalbo, Bartucci. Fond Grandmother of Sophia, Vincenzo and Francesco. Dear Sister of Mario (Elaine) Bartucci, Irma (Giacomo) Manfredini, the late Carmella (The late Danny) Infelise and the late Gilda (the late Anthony) DiMeo. Dear Aunt of Richie, Joey, Denise, Annette, Annie, Giordano, Mario, Giacomo, Marcello, Carmella, Mary, Julie and the late Frankie. Dear Great Aunt to many.

Esther was born and raised in Chicago and was so proud to be the first one in her family to receive a high school diploma. After graduating she was so excited to begin her working career first at the Amphenol Company in Chicago and later followed by a position with Sears Roebuck Company in Chicago. Soon after her career at Sears Roebuck Company she then moved to Berwyn with her family. Later in 1967 she was married to Vincenzo and had her 4 loving children.  At that point she then began her new and most rewarding career as a stay at home mom and chef. Her love of cooking and preparing food for others was prevalent in all her meals and parties. There isn’t a person that doesn’t have a memory of something special she had cooked for them, such as “Auntie Esther Burgers, her famous potatoes and waffles”. Nothing made her happier then to be surrounded by food, family and friends at the kitchen table. She enjoyed listening to Italian music while making her homemade Italian food and baking just as much as her family and friends enjoyed eating it. In addition to Italian music she also enjoyed listening to music from the fifties like Elvis and Engelbert Humperdinck. She would look forward to celebrating her families birthdays and holidays. Even though she was a mother of four she was also a second mom to many. She was the kindness, most loving and generous person you will ever meet. The time she spent with her grandkids made her the happiest especially when they had their snacks together while reading them stories.
