Elvira Capasso nee Veglia passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 16, 2024 while surrounded by her loving family at the golden age of 89. Devoted Mother of Doreen (Bill) Friedle, Patricia (Wayne) Lach, Michele (Marc) Lukacik and Gina (Thomas Hackett) Capasso. Loving Daughter of the late Alfred & the late Concetta Veglia. Fond Grandmother of Samantha and Jessica, Gianna Marie and Alexis. Dear Sister of the late Mary, the late Louie, the late Jerry and the late Millie. Dear Aunt, Great Aunt and Great Great Aunt to many.

Family and Friends are to gather for the Visitation and Funeral Wednesday, May 22, 2024 directly at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 8404 South Cass Avenue, Darien, Illinois 60561. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated promptly at 11:30 a.m. Entombment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Queen of All Saints Mausoleum.
