Elma Bastidos, nee Valdez, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.  Beloved Wife of Victor Bastidos. Devoted Mother of Erica (Raul) Altamirano, Manuel (Aide) Bastidos, and the late Virgilio Bastidos.  Loving Daughter of the late Armando and Eloiza Valdez.  Fond Grandmother of Victoria, Raul Jr., Anabell, and Mathew.  Dear Sister of Noemi Garcia, Juan Armando Valdez, Rose Hernandez, and Josie Valdez.  Dear Aunt and Great-Aunt of many. 

Family and friends are to gather for the Visitation on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Russo’s Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, IL 60162 (located between Mannheim & Wolf Road). Funeral to follow on Thursday, June 3, 2021 from Russo’s Hillside Chapels at 8:30 A.M. proceeding to St. Barbara Catholic Church, 4000 Prairie Ave, Brookfield, Illinois 60513.  Mass of Christian Burial celebrated promptly at 10:00 A.M. We ask that you exit the funeral home after paying your respects so that all visitors have an opportunity to do the same. Please refrain from bringing food or beverages into the funeral home. The coffee room is not available at this time.
