Betty Jean McFalls, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at the golden age of 94. Beloved Wife of the late Edward C. McFalls. Devoted Mother of Edward (Michelle) McFalls, Allan (Lystra) McFalls, Michele (Charles) Hancock, Pamela (Frederick) Layne and Cheryl (Patrick) Nanton. Loving Daughter of the late Wilbur Jones & the late Mollie Holland. Fond Grandmother of Angela Graham, Kellie Droughns, Michael Hendrickson, Laquila (Fiancé Anthony Picarello) McFalls, Julian (Tracee) Hancock, Brandon (Fiancée Stephanie Campos) Hancock, Dr. Mia (Ranique Williams) Layne, British D. (Kaled) Seini and Yannick K. Nanton. Loving Great-Grandmother of Hailee Graham, Justin Graham, McKenzie Droughns, Darius Hendrickson, Chase Hendrickson, Brooklyn Bennett, Marcus Bennett, Mason Bennett, Raiden Jace Layne, Olivia Ming Hancock, Jhordan Hancock and Jadyn Hancock. At the age of 94 Betty was the oldest of 11 siblings Sarah (Eli) Alexander, Dorothy (Donald) Adams, Kathleen King, Calvin (Charlotte) Shields, John Shields and Eugene Shields. She is preceded in death by Pearl (Lester) Bell, Ernest (Lois), Bobby Shields and Roxie (Cleveland) Freemon. Dear Aunt of many Nieces & Nephews and a host of Cousins.
Family and Friends are to gather for the Memorial Visitation on Friday, August 8, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. directly at DuPage A.M.E. Church, 4300 Yackley Ave., Lisle, Illinois, 60532. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated promptly at 10:30 a.m. For additional information please call (708) 449-5300.
