Anna O'Sullivan

Our beloved Aunt, Anna (Nancy) Cecilia O’Sullivan passed away peacefully at the golden age of 99 on April 14, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.

She will be lovingly remembered as Aunt Nan by Robert MacArthur (Linda), Margret Kulik (Leonard), James MacArthur (Joan), Jean Sheppard (Randy).

Great Aunt to Douglas Kulik (Caroline), Carrie Castriota (Gary), Kristin Bailitz (John), Julie Stipes (Jason), Robert Kulik (Maria), Michelle Aprati (Brian), Andrew MacArthur (Emily), and Lauren MacArthur.

Great Great Aunt to Christopher (Dana), Morgan, Haley, Ethan, Meegan, Brady, Catherine, Luke, Caden, Lucia, Gabriel, Skylar, Kendelle, Noelle, Kellsey, Isabella, Gavin, Katelynn, Avery, Graham, and Violet.

Nancy was predeceased by her devoted parents Jeremiah & Elizabeth O’Sullivan, loving sister Mary E. MacArthur (Alexander), and brother Jeremiah O’Sullivan.

Nan had a passion and love for her Irish heritage which she proudly displayed and was always happy to talk to you about.  She spent her entire life dedicated to her family, working 2 jobs, riding the “el” to get from one to another, and then home where her tireless energy continued as she cared for, loved, and supported her family.  Nan was fierce, spirited, and determined in everything she did.  She taught her family to work hard, know your worth, make smart decisions, and to keep God in your heart.  Nan’s door was always open and warmly welcomed everyone in for a cup of tea and cookies.  When Nan was finally able to sit down, you would find her with a rosary in her hands, praying to the Blessed Virgin Mary and thanking God for all she had.

Family and friends are to gather for a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated promptly at 10:00am on Friday, April 23, 2021 at Queen of the Rosary Catholic Church, 750 W. Elk Grove Blvd., Elk Grove Village, IL.  Interment at St Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery, 1185 W Algonquin Rd, Palatine IL 60067.
