Amelia Armendariz passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2026, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 92. Beloved Wife of the late Edward Armendariz. Devoted Mother of Susan Armendariz, Wayne Armendariz, Darlene (Frank) Barrett, Melissa O’Neill, Corinne (Steve) Harsley, and the late Jeffrey Armendariz. Loving Daughter of the late Benito and the late Inez Contreras. Fond Grandmother of Alexandra, Tony, Ashley, Gabriel, Devin, Jeremy, Jessica, Steve, and Amanda. Dear Great-Grandmother of many. Dear Sister of the late Lucille, the late Beatrice, the late Benny, and the late Manuel. Dear Aunt and Great-Aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Family and Friends are to gather for the Visitation Friday, July 24, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Russo’s Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, Illinois 60162 (Located between Mannheim and Wolf Road). Funeral to follow Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Russo’s Hillside Chapels at 9:30 a.m. A Chapel Service of Christian Burial will be celebrated promptly at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, Illinois.
