Alvaro Castaneda passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Monday, April 21, 2025. Loving Son of Josefina and the late Andres Alvaro Castaneda. Dear Brother of Adela Castaneda, Raquel Castaneda, Iliana Castaneda, Jose Antonio Castaneda, Americo Castaneda and Joshua G. Castaneda. Dear Uncle of many Nieces & Nephews.

Alvaro Castaneda was a man of great heart, unmatched intelligence, and a passion for all things mechanical. He loved working with his hands, especially on cars, and was always the first to offer help when something needed fixing. Alvaro had a deep appreciation for classic rock and a true gift for conversation. He made friends wherever he went and brought warmth and laughter into every room. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his spirit and kindness will live on in our hearts forever.

Family and Friends are to gather for the Memorial Visitation on Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Russo’s Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, Illinois 60162 (Located between Mannheim & Wolf Road).
