Alfredo “Fred” J. Vercillo passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 while surrounded by his loving family at the golden age of 96. Beloved Husband of the late Angelina “Angie” nee Russo for a loving 67 years. Devoted Father of Sam (Rita), Rick (Janice), Pat (the late Ron) Cobb. Loving Son of the late Salvatore and the late Angelina nee Superbo, Vercillo. Fond Grandfather of Amanda (Sam), Amy (Neil), Tom (Jenni), Jeff (Megan), Ivan (Natalia), Maris and Chris (Sugatri). Dear Great Grandfather of Andy, Claire, Amber, Henry, Angelene, Cora, Violet and Isla. Dear Brother of the late Helen (the late Bob) Dollar and the late Aida Vercillo. Dear Brother-in-Law to the late Albert (the late Josephine) Russo, the late Art (Lil) Russo, the late Orlando, (the late Henrietta) Russo and the late Frank (the late Pat) Russo. Family and Friends are to gather for the Visitation on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Russo’s Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, Illinois 60162 (Located between Mannheim and Wolf Road). Funeral to follow Wednesday, September 24, 2025 from Russo’s Hillside Chapels at 9:30 a.m. proceeding to Divine Providence Parish, 2550 Mayfair Avenue, Westchester, Illinois.
